‘do the things you love because you want to’
It’s made me realise that I’ve not connected with my creative self recently and I miss it. I love writing!
I’ve written only a few poems in the last couple of months. Or maybe more but I’ve not felt they have resonated with me! Sometimes when you return to a poem, you see it from a different light.
I’ve been too busy and not put time aside. I’ve continued to teach my writing groups which is as inspiring as ever enabling others to create! I’ve run another open mic session which is a great platform to give a writer a voice.
This was a moment I captured teaching a writing group. Telling the participants to observe what was around them. I spent many years in cafe’s writing. Perhaps it’s something I need to do again!!

I’ve not stopped keeping a journal, I find exercising the muscle on a day to day basis is important. Pen connecting with paper! Like sport: the more you practise, the better you become.
